In the book the Watson’s go to Birmingham Byron lights matches many times. He is a main character in the book. Byron’s mom gets very mad when Byron lights matches and does something crazy. One time she caught Byron lighting a match she got angry. Also the next time she saw him playing with fire she threatened him to burn his fingers.

After that time he stopped playing with fire. Byron is a kid that causes a lot of trouble in the story.
